About Author
Janet Busener
After 30 years of publishing seven local positive news magazines, my career came to an end in 2020. The wonderful world of this complicated business, entailing ad representatives, photography, writers, editorial deadlines, bookkeepers and distribution was stressful. In addition, publishing without a partner to guide some of the responsibilities had adversely affected my health. My educational background in journalism enabled me to be less stressed with writing books in my own relaxed home atmosphere.
The first book, RETAIL STORE CIVIL UNREST, was spawned from my five-month workplace at a grocery store in 2021. After being injured on the job, with arthritis flair ups, I decided to write about my on-the-job knowledge about our delicate food supply. I researched prepping and survival information to add interest to the book. I wrote POETRY IN THESE TIMES, a lifetime experience that covers the realities of pain, suffering and hope from a faith-based perspective. Hope shines brightly when the valley is so down that a latter up is the only road out. Reaching readers is delving into the depth of what is often in the back of the mind, ready to come out. Writing with perception, creative thought and research brings truth and justice. "My heart overflows with a good theme. My tongue is the pen of a ready writer". Psalms 45:1

WASTELAND
Green acres are the grounds to be.
Clean living is the life for me.
Land legacy so far and wide, keep your rubbish,
just give me that countryside.
Tossing trash is where I'd rather be.
Never mind the damage I am too blind to see.
I just adore a scenic view.
Smell our trash but live in Park Avenue.
No food, birds, turtles, frogs or fish,
they cannot come back, we can only wish.
Can we survive without fresh air, the town square, clean water, food and good health?
Only a clean abundance of wholesome living can create true wealth.
This was my life, goodbye planet life.
It won't be long before green acres are gone.
